Kaolin acts as a highly reflective white film over white surface that is known to enhance the plant photosynthesis and reduce the heat stress. It also works as a barrier that irritates insects and disguises the host plant by coating it with a ghostly white film. It is used as an anti-caking agent in the production of fertilizers and inert ingredient in many pesticide formulations.
